Chinese AI Leader iFLYTEK Pledges Support to Drive Cambodia’s Technology Adoption and Economic Modernization

China’s prominent artificial intelligence and information technology provider iFLYTEK has expressed a strong commitment to supporting and accelerating Cambodia’s ongoing digital transformation. The pledge was made during a high-level bilateral meeting on August 17, 2026, between HE Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and an iFLYTEK delegation led by Company Vice President Fang Ming.

During the discussion, the iFLYTEK delegation shared observations from their working visit to Phnom Penh, noting that seeing the capital firsthand affirmed Cambodia’s peace, social stability, rapid economic progress, and welcoming investment climate. Company representatives emphasized that these positive realities contrast sharply with negative coverage previously circulated abroad, reaffirming their intention to maintain close cooperation with Cambodian authorities to advance the Kingdom’s digital agenda.

In response, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol highlighted that adopting artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is vital for enhancing efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence across both public administration and private enterprise. To translate these initial discussions into tangible outcomes, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol advised iFLYTEK to arrange detailed technical discussions with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications to explore feasible, mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
