Construction of Chom Chao Flyover 90% Complete, Set to Open to Public by March 2022

Construction of the Chom Chao underpass and flyover is over 90% completed and is scheduled for final completion by March next year.

Saing Piseth, Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Phnom Penh, said on 3 December that construction work is underway to complete the remaining 10% on time.

The team is speeding up construction as some underpass infrastructures have been put into temporary use to ease traffic.

Mr Piseth said that though the completion is set for March, the inauguration date has not been set.

With a construction budget of about US$22 million, the Chom Chao overpass is being built by the OCIC with a construction period of 30 months. (Read more)
