Construction of Chom Chao Flyover & Underpass 99% complete, Opens for Traffic on 19 March

Phnom Penh Governor HE Khuon Sreng said that the construction of the flyover and underpass at the Chom Chao roundabout has now reached 99% completion and is set to temporarily open for traffic on 19 March.

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration is now planning the official inauguration ceremony, which will be held soon under the auspices of Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen.

The Chom Chao flyover and underpass are being developed by the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corp (OCIC) with a government budget of US$22 million in a 30-month period. (Read more)

Once completed, the flyover and underpass will have a 100-year lifespan. According to the master plan, the main part of the flyover connects Russian Blvd to NR3 and will be 408 metres long and 15.8 metres wide.

The second part connects Russian Blvd to Veng Sreng Street and will be 40 metres long and 5.25 metres wide.

The third connects Veng Sreng Street to NR 3 and will be 60 metres long and 5.25 metres wide. Lastly, the single-way underpass connects NR4 to Russian Blvd and will be 130 metres long and 8.5 metres wide.
