Booming Industrial Landscape: US$59.8M Invested in 10 New Projects across Kampong Speu, Takeo & Phnom Penh

In a resounding stride towards industrial expansion, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has endorsed 10 pioneering companies to establish factories, infusing a collective investment of US$59.8 million. This catalytic initiative is poised to breathe life into the economies of Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Phnom Penh, generating growth and employment for the country.

The CDC’s decision was announced on 30 August 2023, signifying a monumental leap forward in Cambodia’s industrial trajectory with enterprising companies ready to take advantage of Cambodia’s pro-investment policies.

The visionary lineup of companies is set to usher in a new era of manufacturing excellence, each project meticulously tailored to resonate with Cambodia’s evolving industrial landscape. Among these ventures are the following noteworthy enterprises:

  1. LAMUES TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD: Championing innovation, this venture aims to produce electrical wires, lamps, and more, situated in the heart of Kampong Speu province. Its robust investment of approximately US$8.6 million is projected to create 676 new job opportunities, propelling local economic prosperity.
  2. WOQILI POWER TECHNOLOGY (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: Nestled in Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province, this venture seeks to assemble and install light bulbs and lampposts. With an investment of US$6.6 million, this initiative is projected to illuminate the lives of 146 new employees
  3. SUNNY JET HOSIERY (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: This venture aims to establish a multifaceted embroidery factory in Takeo province. Infused with an investment of US$6.2 million, its impact extends to creating 1,641 new employment avenues.
  4. VENT DEST PHNOM PENH CLOTHING CO., LTD: Pioneering growth in Takeo province, this garment manufacturing venture has a US$6.2 million investment to generate 1,958 employment opportunities.
  5. CHERISH INDUSTRIAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: Envisaging an industrial synergy in Phnom Penh, this initiative sets the stage for the production of ceremonial garments and more. Its investment of US$6.1 million seeks to cultivate 2,040 new job placements.
  6. YOU JUST FOOTWEAR (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A pioneering shoe factory in Kampong Speu province has a US$5.6 million investment providing employment for 1,538
