Cambodia and Laos Discuss Plans for Border Crossing Bridge

Cambodian government and the Government of Laos PDR are in talks regarding the construction of a border crossing bridge, enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

PM Samdech Hun Manet of Cambodia and PM HE Sonexay Siphandone of Laos PDR deliberated on this significant project during their meeting in Vientiane on March 25.

The proposed bridge, spanning the Ropov River between Preah Vihear province in Cambodia and Champasak province in Laos PDR, aims to bolster connectivity and facilitate smoother cross-border trade and travel.

Additionally, discussions encompassed plans for the establishment of an expressway linking Vientiane to the Cambodian border, underscoring the commitment to enhancing regional transportation infrastructure.

This collaborative effort signals a promising step towards fostering stronger ties and facilitating economic growth between Cambodia and Laos PDR.
