Cambodia drafting port law

On 17-18 October, a workshop conducted by the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)​​​ and joined by the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, Sihanoukville Autonomous Port and private port companies focused on the drafting of an effective port law.

The port law would help gain more ship entries to the country and promote national and international trade. H.E. Eang Vengsun said during the workshop that “Cambodia has received continuous investment from development partners in the port sector, making this sector a proud development.”

He also encouraged the participants from all relevant institutions and organisations to pay attention, study in the group discussion and provide comments and improve the draft law for better service and for the benefit of the nation.
