Construction of NR3 Almost 100% Complete

The National Road 3 (NR3) renovation project from Chom Chao roundabout to Kampot city has been 98.04% completed, with only a small amount of work remaining, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) recently.

The construction team is currently speeding up work installing speed cameras, security cameras, and underground automatic weighing stations, among others.

Meanwhile, the construction of two pedestrian flyover bridges in Tram Khna is also scheduled to be completed by the end of June as well.

The renovation of NR3 has a total length of 134km, of which 69km section from Chom Chao to Bek Kous will be built as a four-lane road, and another 65km section from Bek Kous to Kampot provincial will be constructed as two lanes with asphalt concrete (AC).

The project is being implemented under a total fund of US$219 million, a concessional loan from the People’s Republic of China, and the Cambodian government budget. (Read more)
