Construction of Three Major Water Reservoirs in Mondulkiri Province 20% Complete

The construction of O’Te reservoir and the rehabilitation of the Leu and Krom reservoirs in Saen Monourom city and Ou Reang district of Mondulkiri province have been 20% completed, according to the site inspection by Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology HE Lim Kean Hor on 3 January 2022.

The minister highly appreciated the progress of the work, which has been achieved quickly, while also instructing the technical teams to complete the project on schedule.

Being built with the government’s fund, the construction and rehabilitation of these three reservoirs started on 18 October 2021 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.

After completion, these three reservoirs will supply clean water to 3,400 families in Saen Monorom city and 2,000 families in Ou Reang district of Mondulkiri province.

The reservoirs will also serve as the water sources for over 1,500 hectares of cropped lands.
