Ground broken on new US$10-million flyover along NR5

The construction of a new flyover along NR5 in Russey Keo area has officially begun with the groundbreaking ceremony presided over PM Samdech Hun Sen on Monday 31 January.

The flyover is located at the intersection of NR5 and Russey Keo-Chroy Changva Concrete Bridge in Kleang Sand Village of Sangkat Russei Keo.

Built by the Cambodian Overseas Investment Company (OCIC), the flyover has a total length of 483m and a width of 15.8m.

The project has an estimated cost of US$9.7 million and will take 15 months to be completed.

Phnom Penh currently has five flyovers including Psar Dey Huy, Kbal Thnal, Stueng Mean Chey, 7 Makara, and 5 Makara.

Chom Chao flyover is set to be completed in March when the government also plans to break ground on another flyover at Century Plaza Intersection. (Read more and more)
