Mondulkiri Boasts Over 850K Km of Provincial Roads, Connects Towns and Districts

Mondulkiri Province has achieved a remarkable milestone in infrastructure development with the construction of over 850,000 kilometers of provincial roads as of 6 April 2023, according to HE Sorn Sarun, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province.

During a press conference on the “Success in the past 5 years” of Mondulkiri Provincial Administration, HE Sorn Sarun highlighted the province’s focus on promoting the construction and maintenance of national and provincial roads, including high-quality provincial and rural roads to connect the province’s town and districts.

“With a total length of 851,376 km, Mondulkiri has constructed 8 provincial roads spanning 330 km, 59 town roads spanning 65 km, and 32 rural roads spanning 255 km,” said the Deputy Governor.

The province’s infrastructure development is further enhanced by NR76, a national road that passes through Mondulkiri province, connecting Snoul district in Kratie province to Sen Monorom city, with a total length of 127 km. NR76 also extends from Sen Monorom city to Ta Ong in Kon Mom district, Ratanakkiri province, with a length of 172 km.

Additionally, NR75 connects Koh Nhek district to Chit Borey district in Kratie province, covering a total length of 150 km. Moreover, there are three other borderline roads along the Vietnam border, spanning a total length of 87 km.

This achievement highlights Mondulkiri’s commitment to promoting connectivity and accessibility, which not only benefits the province’s residents but also offers potential opportunities for real estate development and investment in the area.
