NR No. 4 Rehabilitation Project Reaches 66% Completion, Targeting 2026 Finish

The ambitious project to rehabilitate, expand, and upgrade NR No. 4 from Bek Chan commune in Kandal province to Bit Trang commune in Preah Sihanouk province has achieved a significant milestone, reaching 66.06% completion as of August 2024.

The project is on track to be fully completed by the end of 2026, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on 23 August 2024.

The Cambodian government has secured a USD 110 million concessional loan from the World Bank to finance the construction, expansion, and maintenance of this critical road, which aims to enhance the safety of travel and transportation while ensuring resilience to climate change. The loan agreement was signed on 12 July 2018 and came into effect on 1 October 2018. (Read more)
