Sihanoukville Governor Requests Japan to Help Build Tourist Port and Health Centres

Sihanoukville Governor H.E Kuoch Chamroeun has requested the Japanese government to provide grant aid to support the construction of a tourist port in Sihanoukville and for health centres in Ream and Koh Rong.

The request was made during an official meeting on 30 July with the governor and H.E Mikami Masahiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Ambassador Mikami has yet to respond to the request but promised to help promote investment opportunities and tourism in Sihanoukville to Japanese investors.

Sihanoukville is one the fastest developing province in Cambodia in almost every sector, in particular the construction of infrastructure such as the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway (Read more),the reconstruction of 34 roads (read more), and the expansion of the deep seaport (read more), among others.
