Study Complete for Korea-Funded Chroy Chongvar–Svay Chrom Bridge

A Korean company has completed the preliminary study of the South Korea-funded Chroy Changvar-Svay Chrum bridge project and already submitted the result to the Cambodian government to select the location and alignment of the bridge.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia Park Heung-kyeong unveiled the information during the ground-breaking ceremony of NR48 on 3 January.

“After Cambodia requested the bridge, the Korean government approved the assistance. After that, a Korean company studied the project. Now, the company has already finished the study and sent the documents to the Cambodian government to select the location and alignment as the next step,” said HE Park Heung-kyeong.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Hun Sen once again congratulated Cambodia on the upcoming Cambodia-Korea Friendship Bridge.

He said that this bridge will not only facilitate traffic but will also help push the potential of Lvea Em district to become a new satellite city.
