New 30,000-Seat Stadium to Redefine Sports & Leisure in Sihanoukville

In a visionary move aimed at enhancing Sihanoukville’s allure, the provincial administration has unveiled plans to construct a cutting-edge stadium with a capacity for over 30,000 spectators. This monumental project, discussed in a review meeting on 18 December 2023, signifies a substantial leap in the region’s development trajectory.

During the meeting, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Sam Al, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, highlighted the stadium as a symbol of achievement and a testament to Prime Minister Hun Manet’s commitment to progress.

The new stadium, designed to host up to 31,500 people, goes beyond a mere sports venue. It will include cafes, tents, parks, museums, theatres, and carefully preserved ancient buildings, offering a holistic and immersive experience that resonates with the rich history of the province.

This ambitious undertaking is a response to the community’s needs and aligns with the strategic objective of bolstering sports and tourism in Sihanoukville. The aim is to attract both national and international tourists to explore the coastal province.
