Cambodia Enhances Connectivity with Inauguration of Stung Prek Tnaot Bridge and Road

The Cambodian government recently celebrated the official inauguration of a new concrete bridge and road crossing the Stung Prek Tnaot tributary. The momentous event took place on June 4, 2023, under the distinguished presence of HE Dr. Men Sam An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection.

The newly unveiled concrete bridge boasts impressive dimensions, spanning 98 meters in length and measuring 8 meters in width. Located in Kraing Svay village, Sangkat Kraing Pong, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, it serves as a crucial artery for transportation, facilitating seamless connectivity in the area. The accompanying concrete road across the Stung Prek Tnaot tributary further enhances accessibility and convenience for residents and commuters.

Commencing construction on October 29, 2022, the bridge and road project was completed with remarkable efficiency and attention to detail, concluding on May 30, 2023. With a construction budget exceeding US$1 million, the endeavor received vital support from the esteemed Rithy Sith Development Company.

Expressing the government’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure development as a means of poverty reduction, Samdech Kittisangha Dr. Men Sam An highlighted the pivotal role played by the physical infrastructure sector in improving people’s lives.

She added that “the government has dedicated substantial efforts to restoring and advancing numerous transportation networks throughout the country, driving national economic growth and uplifting living standards. The positive impact on the lives of the citizens is evident as Cambodia continues to progress towards a brighter future.”

The inauguration of the Stung Prek Tnaot Bridge and Road marks a significant milestone in Cambodia’s pursuit of enhanced connectivity and efficient transportation networks. This visionary initiative, undertaken by the government with unwavering determination, stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to sustainable development and improved quality of life for its people.
