Transport Ministry Urges Japanese Experts to Help with Wastewater Management in Phnom Penh

A senior official of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPTW) has urged the Japanese technical team to help develop a more efficient wastewater management plan for Phnom Penh.

This is according to the 24th meeting regarding the wastewater management project in Phnom Penh yesterday.

MPWT Undersecretary of State Mr Kem Borey said the government had been working closely with the Japanese government to conduct an in-depth study before compiling the information into a master plan to effectively manage the wastewater and sewage system.

Meanwhile, MPWT is also currently speeding up the progress of preparing the draft law for the wastewater and sewerage system, in hope that it will help prevent and solve the issues of unregulated and unorganised sewages systems. (Read more)
