Ground Broken on Second Building of Krouch Chhmar Referral Hospital

Construction of the second building of Krouch Chhmar Referral Hospital in Tbong Khnum province has officially begun, while the first building is over 90% complete.

The ground-breaking ceremony was held on Monday 22 November in the presence of the Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction HE Chea Sophara along with other relevant officials.

The second building is 18 metres wide, 62 metres long, and 4 floors high, which is the same size as the first building.

Located in Khsach Pracheu Leu village in Krouch Chhmar commune, and both buildings were built with a donation from Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen.

The hospital will be equipped with modern medical tools such as a CT scanner, digital X-ray, and an ultrasound machine, among others.

Upon completion, the hospital will not only provide effective health services for the community of Tbong Khmum province but for nearby provinces as well.

To date, the first building worth US$1.4 million is over 90% complete with a final completion date set for December 2021. (Read more)
