HALO Trust Cambodia Accomplishes 3,000 ha of Demining

In 2022, the HALO Trust Cambodia team accomplished mine clearance on over 3,000 hectares of land across Cambodia, according to the organisation’s announcement on 31 December. 

HALO Trust has also destroyed 18,127 anti-personnel mines, 66 anti-vehicle mines, and over 28,000 explosive remnants of war. 

Recently, the Cambodian government announced that Tbong Khmum province will be the last province to go through mine clearing before the whole country become mine-free. 

In the past 26 years, Cambodia has completed mine clearing on over 1,881 square kilometres of land with a budget of about US$700 million. (Read more)
