CMAA & Relevant Partners Actively Implementing Demining Campaign

The Cambodian Mine Action Authority will declare no mined land in three provinces and nine districts as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Australia, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), New Zealand and the Ministry of Economy and Finance have provided US$20 million to continue to demine for six years from 2020-2025.

In 26 years, Cambodia has cleared 1,881 square kilometres of mined land, spending US$700 million including US$160 million of the royal government budget.

To date, 22 capitals and provinces remain affected by landmines (excluding cluster munitions and other explosive remnants of war) on 71,603.9 hectares.
