Phnom Penh Municipal Authority Registers Over 10k Land Titles in 2022

The Phnom Penh Municipal Authority has reported a significant increase in land title registration in 2022. According to the 2022 annual report on the performance of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration, the authorities registered 32,123 plots of land and distributed 16,511 title deeds. 

The report further revealed that the land registration process resulted in the issuance of 6,006 transferred title deeds, 5,683 registered title deeds, and 21,782 system cards.  

Additionally, the registration process recorded four long-term lease registration cards, earning the government a stamp tax revenue of 398,152,908,856 Riels or more than US$9.4 million. 

Moreover, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration registered 29 state-owned private land concessions on over 82 hectares of land, which provided 13,879 plots of land to the people. 

With the increase in land title registration, more individuals and businesses will be able to secure their ownership rights, which could lead to an increase in property investments and development projects.
