International Investors Target Five Key Cambodian Sectors

Business Delegation Led by Cambodia Securities Plc Explores Opportunities in Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Finance

Foreign investors have expressed significant interest in five core sectors of Cambodia’s economy, as demonstrated by a business delegation visit led by Cambodia Securities PLC. The sectors of focus include manufacturing, industrial development, infrastructure, real estate, and finance.

This interest was highlighted during a discussion between His Excellency Lim Visal, Deputy Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and the business delegation on December 2, 2025.

A representative of the delegation, which primarily consists of individuals active in the securities and financial sectors, stated that the purpose of their visit was not only to learn more about Cambodia’s investment environment but also to seek cooperation opportunities across these five key areas.

In response, the Deputy Secretary General informed the delegates about the overall investment environment in Cambodia. He also highlighted the attractive investment incentive regime and the various supportive measures the government continues to implement to enhance the competitiveness of the investment and business climate in the country.

This foreign interest comes amidst a strong recent performance by the Council for the Development of Cambodia. In the first nine months of 2025, the CDC registered 546 new investment projects with a capital investment totaling nearly $8 billion, which is projected to create approximately 37,000 jobs. This information was released in a CDC press statement on October 2, 2025. (read more)
