Japan Grants 15 Construction Machines to Promote Infrastructure Development in Cambodia

The Government of Japan has handed over 15 road construction machines worth US$4.5 million to help improve road construction projects in Cambodia.

The handover ceremony was held on 12 October and presided over by Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia and HE Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport.

The grant comprises of 15 machines such as Road Stabiliser & Accessories (3 units), Vibratory Single Drum Roller with CANOPY Stay (3 units), Pneumatic Tire Roller (3 units), Vibratory Tandem Roller (3 units), Walk-behind Roller (3 units), and Spare Parts & Consumables.

The Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia hopes that the grant will help contribute to the rehabilitation and development of roads and bridges in Cambodia even more.

HE Sun Chanthol thanked the Government of Japan and mentioned Japan has thus far contributed a lot to the development of Cambodia, especially within the infrastructure sector. (Read more)
