Dang Tong Port in Koh Kong​​ Province Serves Tourism Sector & Maritime Agricultural Shipments

The construction of Dang Tong Port is scheduled to be completed and officially inaugurated by the end of 2022, to serve the tourism sector and agricultural shipments.

HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport led the ministry’s technical working group to inspect the progress of the construction project of Dong Tong Port, located in Khemarak Phoumin city on June 23, 2022.

Starting construction in May 2021, the port is a medium-sized port measuring 115m and 16.5m in width and is built to serve cruise ships under agreements along the coasts of Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The US$1.5 million port will also serve agricultural cargo shipments from provinces in the northwest Battambang, Pailin, Pursat, Banteay Meanchey, and Oddar Meanchey, as well as importing goods from Vietnam and Thailand.
