Land Registration Campaign in Kampot Over 70% Complete

To date, the land registration mission in Kampot province is over 70% complete, as land plots in 358 villages have been registered and got their title deeds issued.

The data was unveiled during a site inspection of Kampot Governor HE Mao Thonin to the Banteay Meas village in Banteay Meas district on Thursday 25 November.

HE Mao Thonin said that since the start of the implementation in October 2003 until now, the working team have registered over 600,000 plots of land or equal to 75.92% of the total plots of 800,000 plots in the province.

Meanwhile, 537,395 titles have been issued and distributed to owners, which is around 67.17% of the total 150,000 hectares of land.

For the national level, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) revealed that more than 6.4 million land titles nationwide or equivalent to 90.03% of the total plots, have been registered and got their titles issued as of November 2021.

The ministry has also pledged to complete the land registration nationwide by 2023.  (Read more)
