New Road Connecting Ring Road 3 to Lvea Em District Being Studied by Chinese Firm

A Chinese company is still studying the feasibility and alignment of the East Ring Road 3 connecting the under-construction section to Lvea Em district crossing the Mekong River, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s spokesman on Tuesday.

“Construction of the third ring road is proceeding as planned and further study on the connection of the third ring road 3 to Lvea Em district is also being conducted by a Chinese firm,” said HE Vasim Sorya.

“The Chinese firm is the one who is building the current Ring Road 3,” he added.

HE Vasim Sorya added that the road would cross Koh Anlong Chen and then connect to NR6. However, there no clear decision has been made yet.

Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol said in August the east RR3 is the government’s next priority before the RR4. (Read more)
