Construction of New Siem Reap International Airport 40% Completed as of September

Construction of the new Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has been 40% completed by September, while the developer is aiming for 70% completion by the end of 2022.

The progress of the construction of the new international airport in Siem Reap was mentioned during a site inspection led by HE Mao Havannal, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, on 12 September.

According to SSCA, by the end of 2022, the company will reach about 70% of completion.

HE Sin Chansereyvutha stated that the construction process of Siem Reap Angkor Airport has been slightly delayed due to the Zero COVID measures in China, which has hampered transportation and experts’ travel to Cambodia.

The international airport is invested by Angkor International Airport Investment (Cambodia) with an investment of nearly US$900 million. (Read more)
