PM Issues Directive on Dormant Tourism Projects to be Revoked Licenses If Remain Inactive for 6 Months

Prime Minister Hun Manet made a significant announcement regarding the status of small-scale tourism projects in Cambodia by emphasising the necessity of reviewing and potentially revoking licenses for projects that have remained inactive for six months after obtaining approval. This directive was announced during a recent plenary session of the Council of Ministers on 15 March 2024.

This measure aims to ensure compliance with established principles, with licenses to be revoked if project owners fail to adhere to regulations. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of these measures in promoting tourism, job creation, and environmental conservation within the community.

Additionally, the Council for the Development of Cambodia is currently evaluating a proposal for the construction of a modern amusement park by Coastal City Development Group Co., LTD in Koh Sdach commune, Kirisakor district, Koh Kong province. (Read more)
