PM urge Siem Reap authority to focus on infrastructure development in Run Ta Ek area

Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen has urged the Siem Reap provincial authorities to continue developing more infrastructure in the Ron Ta Ek residential area of Banteay Srei district to facilitate the livelihood of people affected by the 38-road and relocated there.

PM Hun Sen said during the inauguration ceremony of the 38-road project on 4 April that Ron Ta Ek should be a new residential development area with enough infrastructure and business activities.

“The improvement of the Siem Reap infrastructure will not be possible if the people do not cooperate and agree to relocate to the new area. Therefore, we need to make the new area become a high potential development zone to show respect, he said.

There were a total of 564 families were affected by the road construction project and volunteered to relocate.
