Cambodia to Host Architecture Festival, Showcasing the Nation’s Contemporary Urban Evolution

The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction is set to organise the Cambodian Architecture Festival, aiming to highlight the nation’s transformation and contemporary urban development.

Announced by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Sam Al, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, during a meeting on 4 September 2024, the festival is expected to become a milestone event in modern Cambodian architecture.

In the meeting with companies interested in supporting the festival, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that their contributions are not only critical to ensuring the success of the festival but also mark a pivotal step toward advancing Cambodia’s architectural sector. He noted that this event symbolises the country’s progress and opens a new chapter in its architectural narrative.

HE Say Sam Al further projected that Cambodia’s future architecture will reflect beauty, luxury, and a high standard of living, embodying civilization, happiness, and peace. He underscored the importance of linking building designs with vibrancy and civility, while respecting the country’s rich traditions, creating a harmonious blend that mirrors the evolution of contemporary Cambodia.
