Completion of ‘Moradok Techo’ Flyover Set for 30 March, Opening Scheduled for Early April

The first phase of the “Moradok Techo” flyover, connecting Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd. and Monivong Blvd., is poised for completion by 30 March 2024, with plans to open its second level to traffic on 1 April 2024, as announced by the Phnom Penh Capital Administration in Announcement No. 024/24 dated 28 March 2024.

Construction progress on the first phase of the “Techo Heritage” flyover is nearing completion, with only minor tasks remaining, and is also slated for finalisation by 30 March 2024.

In anticipation of the upcoming Khmer New Year and to alleviate traffic congestion at the boulevard intersection, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration, with approval from the Prime Minister, has decided to temporarily inaugurate the “Morakot Techo” flyover on 1 April 2024.

The Monivong Blvd flyover project, managed by the Cambodian Overseas Investment Company OCIC, commenced construction on 31 August 2022 and was officially linked on 29 January 2024, adhering to a construction timeline of 36 months. (Read more)
