Phase 2 of Moradok Techo Flyover Set for Early Completion by February 2025

The Moradok Techo flyover project in Phnom Penh is on track to complete Phase 2 ahead of schedule, with finalization now anticipated by February 2025.

This accelerated timeline follows the temporary opening of Phase 1, inaugurated on 1 April 2024, to help ease traffic flow and facilitate commuter movement, as shared by Mr. Keut Chhae, Phnom Penh’s Deputy Governor, on 29 October 2024.

Mr. Touch Samnang, Deputy General Director of OCIC, confirmed that Phase 2’s construction is proceeding smoothly and will be completed before the expected February deadline.

The temporary opening of the first phase by Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet has already shown positive impacts on easing congestion and supporting Phnom Penh’s urban transit needs. (Read more)

In addition to the Moradok Techo project, Phnom Penh’s infrastructure expansion includes the Monivong Boulevard flyover project, officially launched on 29 January 2024. Its construction began on 31 August 2022 and is expected to span 36 months, with OCIC overseeing the development. This significant project also aims to improve traffic conditions along one of the capital’s major thoroughfares. (Read more)
