US-ASEAN Business Council Commits to Expanding Investment and Exploring New Sectors in Cambodia

Cambodia’s commercial landscape received a powerful endorsement from major American corporations as a high-level business delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council pledged to expand existing operations and actively pursue new investment opportunities across the Kingdom. The firm commitment was highlighted on July 22, 2026, during an official meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and retired Ambassador Brian D. McFeeters, President and Chief Executive Officer of the council. The strategic dialogue underscored a mutual determination to elevate bilateral trade and deepen private sector engagement between Cambodia and the United States.

During the meeting, the delegation emphasized its strong desire to foster deeper commercial partnerships with Cambodia. American companies currently operating in the country reaffirmed their long-term commitment to remaining closely engaged with the local market, expanding their current capital footprints, and identifying promising new growth sectors. The visiting delegation brought together key decision-makers across diverse and high-impact industries, including automotive, agricultural machinery, healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, food processing, retail, and banking and finance.

In response, Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed the delegation’s dedication to strengthening economic ties and exploring fresh avenues for investment. The Prime Minister reassured the executive leaders that the Royal Government of Cambodia remains firmly committed to maintaining a predictable, transparent, and supportive investment environment for all international enterprises. To translate these investment intentions into concrete projects, Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged council members to maintain proactive, continuous dialogue with relevant Cambodian ministries and government agencies.

Beyond their direct economic investments, American businesses operating in Cambodia continue to make substantial contributions to the nation’s broader socio-economic development. The delegation highlighted ongoing corporate initiatives in health services, educational advancement, capacity building, human resource training, and direct support for local small and medium-sized enterprises. By combining high-value economic ventures with human capital development, American investors are helping drive sustainable economic progress and industrial modernization across the Kingdom.
