Cambodia and the Republic of Croatia have agreed to strengthen bilateral relations across eight core priority areas following a landmark official visit to the Kingdom by the Croatian diplomatic delegation. The mutual commitment was outlined in an official press release issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on October 22, 2026, summarizing the outcome of the high-level engagement.

During the diplomatic discussions, both nations reaffirmed their determination to expand bilateral trade and investment channels. Both sides emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts to deepen economic ties, with a specific focus on agriculture, agro-industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, technology, energy, transport and logistics, and tourism.

Recognizing the indispensable role of commercial partnerships, Cambodian and Croatian leaders pledged to actively facilitate business networking and foster private-sector engagement. This collaborative push is designed to create new commercial avenues and unlock high-value trade and investment opportunities for enterprises in both countries.

Highlighting their shared background in post-conflict humanitarian efforts, both nations acknowledged each other’s extensive experience and contributions toward global mine action. Consequently, Cambodia and Croatia agreed to explore practical frameworks for technical cooperation in landmine clearance.
