Youth Rehabilitation Centre in Kandal Province Inaugurated

The Youth Rehabilitation Centre in Kandal Steung District of Kandal Province has officially been inaugurated, which will play an important role in helping rehabilitate and build better human resources.

The inauguration ceremony was on Tuesday 28 December and was presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Sar Kheng with the participation of Kandal provincial officials.

With ground broken in February 2020, the centre has different sections including a children section, health centre, drug rehabilitation section, and youth rehabilitation section.

Last week, the construction of another US$7 million rehabilitation centre in Sihanoukville has also been completed and set for inauguration soon.

With ground broken in 2017, the centre has a total of 12 buildings and is built with grant aid from the Vietnamese government and charity funds.
