Gov’t Backs 24 Stalled Projects in SHV with $129m Investment

The government is reinforcing support for 24 projects in Sihanoukville, involving a total investment of US$129 million, including both stagnant buildings and those currently under development. This was disclosed by the task force on their official Facebook page on 31 July 2024.

From February to June 2024, the task force facilitated incentives for 61 projects, amounting to a combined investment of US$3.7 billion, reflecting a remarkable 671% increase. Additionally, from February to July 2024, the task force approved special benefits for up to 85 projects.

These special incentives apply to three categories of projects proposed and implemented in Sihanoukville in 2024:

  1. projects related to stagnant buildings,
  2. projects unrelated to stagnant buildings that can be launched in 2024, and
  3. the expansion of existing projects or business activities. (Read more)
