Over 500 Solar Lights Installed & Put into Operation in Kandal

A total of 538 solar light poles worth over US$100,000 were officially inaugurated in Kandal province on 15 September.

Located in Ta Ek commune in Khsach Kandal district, the light poles were built by Saron Group, with construction starting in June 2021 and completed in September 2022.

HE Dith Tina, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, stated that the installation of solar lights not only helps to light up the road for passengers at night but also helps to increase security in the area and reduce traffic accidents.

“The local people should help maintain those 538 solar lights well to ensure long-term use, if any lights do not work, they should report to the village authorities,” he added.
