55 Rural Roads in Banteay Meanchey Affected by Floods

55 rural roads with a total length of 582km in Banteay Meanchey province were affected by floods, according to the report by the Director of Rural Development Chea Yuthearun on 11 October.

Mr Yuthearun said that as of 10 October, the flood has damaged 55 roads, and each road has a different level of damage from mild to severe.

“8 roads are in O’Chrov district, 17 in Preah Net Preah district, 9 in Mongkul Borei district, 3 in Phnom Srok district, 3 in Svay Chek district, 6 in Thmor Puok district, 2 in Malai district, 1 in Poipet city, 6 in Serei Sophorn city,” he said.

The Ministry of Rural Development has assigned a working group to inspect the feasibility and intervention to reconnect rural roads for people to use after the flood in Banteay Meanchey province.
