Over 67k Land Titles Issued by Prey Veng Authorities in the Past Two Decades

In the last 20 years, Prey Veng authorities have successfully distributed 669,368 land titles to residents in three districts: Ba Phnom, Preah Sdach, and Svay Antor.

These statistics were presented in a seminar on “Land registration work for the systematic land registration team in Prey Veng Province” held on 6 March 2023, where the data was disclosed by the Director of the Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, Mr Eng Pheng An.

According to Mr Peng An, the provincial administration has officially declared 874 villages, equivalent to 100 communes, in 13 different districts over the last two decades.

Out of these districts, the works have been mainly completed in three districts, equivalent to 31 communes or 379 villages, with data of 856,680 plots systematically registered and over 669,368 plots handed out to people.

Although another 18 communes, equivalent to 79 villages, are currently being implemented the registration, 16 communes, equivalent to 203 villages, have not been implemented.

Furthermore, the plot measuring work in six districts, namely Pearang, Sithor Kandal, Po Rieng, Peam Ro, Peam Chor, and Mesang, have not been measured yet.

Despite the challenges, the Prey Veng authorities’ initiative to distribute over 67,000 land titles is commendable, and it is expected to provide more security and stability to the residents in the province.
