General Tire Technology (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. Unveils US$ 300 Million Tire Factory in Sihanoukville

General Thai Technology (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. has officially launched its US$ 300 million tire factory in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone. The factory, covering 180,000 square meters, will have a production capacity of 5 million small tires and 900,000 truck tires per year. The company aims to export the majority of its production to the United States, Europe, Brazil, and other countries.

According to Mr. GU CUI, President of the company, the factory will use world-class equipment and cutting-edge technology to create a smart, automated information company. The construction of the factory started on February 27, 2022, after the company built its first factory in Thailand three years ago and a second company in Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province.

General Tire Technology (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. is a leading tire company from China that has invested over US$ 100 million in Jiangsu Province. The company is committed to strengthening and upgrading international, smart, and green industries.

The tire factory in Sihanoukville will create numerous employment opportunities for local residents and is expected to contribute to the province’s economic growth. Sihanoukville is currently home to 221 small and large enterprises and 11 special economic zones, four of which are operational.

The launch of this new factory will undoubtedly enhance the province’s industrial development and strengthen Cambodia’s economy as a whole. (Read more)
