New 4-star hotel opens in Kampong Thom province

Kampong Thom Royal Hotel & Restaurant officially opened its doors on 09 September in the heart of Kampong Thom province, adding another 87 rooms to support the tourism sector in the province.

Located in Stung Sen city, Kampong Thom Royal was built with US$5 million from Cambodian investors and comprises 87 guest rooms as well as other amenities including conference rooms, a restaurant, club, swimming pool, sauna, spa, and sky bar.

During the hotel inauguration ceremony, Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon urged the hotel owners and managers to pay closer attention to the quality of their service as well as their staff, as these two factors can actively contribute to an improved tourism sector.

As Cambodia is aiming to attract around 15 million international passengers by 2030, the country will need an additional 100,000 hotel rooms by 2028, of which 60,000 rooms will be in the luxury segment. (Read More)
