At least 3 die, dozens injured in collapsed pagoda in Siem Reap

A pagoda temple building under construction in Siem Reap city collapsed on Monday 2 December, injuring about 20 workers.

Local authorities said that the building collapsed in Prasat Kokchak pagoda in Koukchak commune at about 2pm today.

At least three people were found dead in the collapsed pagoda building, police said.

The victims are workers who are villagers working at the construction site, police said.

The causes of the collapsed have not been identified, police said, cited that recovery work has been continuing, although it was suspected that weak construction is the main factor.
