Australia Provides US$65m Fund for Development in Four Key Sectors in Cambodia

The Australian Embassy in Cambodia has provided US$65 million in grants to help develop four key sectors over a five-year period (June 2022 to June 2027). 

The agreement signing ceremony for the Cambodia-Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAP RED) Program was held on 12 December. 

The grant will focus on four key areas including Infrastructure, trade and investment, agriculture and agro-industry, as well as gender and environment. 

Through the CAP RED program, the development of these core sectors is carried out in collaboration with the private sector and the Royal Government of Cambodia to identify and find solutions to achieve sustainable, resilient, and environmental economic growth. 

The CAP RED program is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Australian Government through the Australian Embassy in Cambodia.
