Bay 19 Golf Worth US$41m Elevating Golfing Excellence on Cambodia’s Coastal Horizon

A groundbreaking ceremony marked the commencement of the first international standard Bay 19 Golf Course project, an extraordinary venture with a US$41 million investment, situated on Ream Beach in Sihanoukville as part of the Bay of Lights development project. The launch, held on 29 December 2023, was inaugurated by HE Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Sihanoukville, Mr. Seng Meng Hong, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, and Mr Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, as reported by KPT News on 5 January 2024.

Designed by the acclaimed golfer Greg Norman, Bay 19 Golf Course not only promises an international standard gaming experience but also boasts a breathtaking view of the Cambodian coast, setting it apart as a new hallmark for golf in Cambodia.

The Bay 19 Golf Course is set to include four four-star hotels, three five-star and six-star resorts, and four walkways, positioning itself as a sought-after destination for both golf enthusiasts and tourists alike.

In line with the project’s timeline, the first phase, featuring a bunker, is anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2025. The complete 18-hole golf course, designed to welcome both national and international guests, is projected to be operational by 2027, with the entire construction slated for completion by the end of 2029.

Beyond its significance as a premier golfing facility, Bay 19 Golf Course aims to be a distinctive recreational haven, contributing to the transformation of the golfing landscape in Cambodia. Additionally, it is poised to become a hub for national and international guests, offering a myriad of benefits to Sihanoukville’s tourism, particularly in the burgeoning satellite city of Ream.
