Jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Hun Manet and Ambassador Wang Wenbin, the Kims Rubber facility aims to boost agro-industrial exports to the European Union

Cambodia has officially inaugurated a major international-standard rubber processing facility in Tboung Khmum Province, marking another step forward in the nation’s agricultural modernization. Valued at approximately $30 million, the factory is operated by Kims Rubber Cambodia Co., Ltd., and represents a significant injection of foreign investment into the local economy.

The high-profile inauguration ceremony took place on May 27, 2026, and was presided over by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, alongside Wang Wenbin, the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia. During the event, Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized that this substantial commitment from Chinese investors serves as a strong reflection of Cambodia’s enduring peace, security, and highly favorable business environment. He expressed his deep gratitude to international backers for their continuous confidence in the country’s economic potential.

Situated in Tboung Khmum District, the new manufacturing hub is designed to advance the domestic agro-industrial sector. By utilizing state-of-the-art processing techniques, the plant will produce premium international-grade and European Union standard crepe rubber. This output will cater directly to global export markets while simultaneously establishing a reliable supply chain for manufacturing plants operating within Cambodia.
