Cambodia​​ has nearly 2,000 industrial plants worth US$16 billion in 2022

Cambodia has 1,982 factories in operation by 2022 with a total investment capital of US$16.6 billion, according to a report from the Ministry of Industry, Technology, Science and Innovation.

From January to December last year, the ministry registered 186 new factories and enterprises, while only 168 new factories opened in 2021.

83 factories closed in 2022, which was lower than the number of factories closed in 2021, which was 143 factories.

The total investment capital of factories is US$16.6 billion, up from US$13.8 billion in 2021.
