Cambodia, Three Other Countries to Jointly Conduct Research on Sustainable & Affordable Energy

Cambodia is ready to cooperate with partners such as the UK, Australia, and Russia in conducting research on safe, sustainable, and affordable energy sources, aiming at helping mitigate the climate change issue.

The remarks were made by HE Say Sam Al, Minister of Environment, during a meeting held here on 26 October with Ms Tina Redshaw, British Ambassador to Cambodia.

“For the matter of climate change, Cambodia has a high commitment to join with the United Nations community in solving the global problem,” said HE Say Sam Al.

“In addition to the conservation of biodiversity and natural resources, the research for renewable energy sources is an important contribution to tackling climate change, and Cambodia is ready to engage with development partners, especially the UK, Australia and Russia on this matter,” he added.
