Cambodia Welcomes 18 New Investment Projects Worth USD 361 Million

In a significant economic boost, Cambodia has approved 18 new investment projects, totaling an impressive USD 361 million, to enhance the agriculture and industrial sectors across seven provinces and cities. These projects have been officially registered with the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

On April 25, 2025, a meeting chaired by His Excellency Chea Vuthy, Secretary-General of the Committee for Investment of Cambodia, reviewed and endorsed these ventures, signaling a positive outlook for job creation and economic growth.

The approved projects will generate approximately 8,500 jobs and focus on diverse areas. Key highlights include one agricultural project in rubber processing, sixteen industrial initiatives encompassing automotive parts manufacturing, furniture production, electrical appliance assembly, and various other sectors. Additionally, the investment will support the development of a substantial 150-megawatt wind power plant, showcasing Cambodia’s commitment to sustainable energy.

The investment projects will be spread across several strategic locations, including Phnom Penh, Kandal Province, Kampong Speu, Takeo, Svay Rieng, Mondulkiri, and Ratanakkiri, reinforcing the government’s effort to stimulate regional development.

This influx of investment underscores Cambodia’s growing attractiveness as a hub for business and innovation, setting the stage for a dynamic future for its economy.
