CDC Approves 10 Projects Worth US$48.7 million in December​ 2022

In December 2022, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 10 investment projects with a total value of US$48.7 million to establish 10 factories in Takeo, Kampong Cham, Sihanoukville, Kandal, and Phnom Penh. 

The first firm is QUAN MING SHUN (CAMBODIA) NEW MATERIALS CO., LTD which will invest US$6.6 million to establish a factory to produce plywood in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville. 

The second firm is PHOENIX FASHION (CAMBODIA) GARMENT CO., LTD which will invest US$ 6.3 million to establish a garment factory in Trapeang Chhouk village, Sophy commune, Bati district, Takeo province. 

The third firm is CHUANGJU PLASTICS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$6.1 million to establish a plastic bag factory located in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville. 

The fourth firm is DAY SEN PACKAGE CO., LTD which will invest US$5.4 million to build a cardboard factory in Sre Ampum village, Samrong Leu commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province. 

The fifth firm is AW CASHMERE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$5.3 million to establish a garment factory along NR2 in Kandeung Touch village, Kandeung commune, Bati district, Takeo province. 

The sixth firm is SUPERCAN (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$5.2 million to establish a shoe factory in Rol Chrouk village, Sangkat Prey Veng, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh. 

The seventh firm is XN FU INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD which will invest US$1 million to establish an umbrella factory for raincoats, handbags, gloves and towels along NR7 in Taing Kork village, Lvea vommune, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. 

The eighth firm is TEXTSTAR GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$5.1 million to establish a garment factory​ inDamnak Thom 2 village, Sangkat Stung Meanchey III, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh. 

The ninth firm is TB PACKAGING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$2 million to establish a paper factory in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, Sihanoukville province. 

The tenth firm is VP PRINTING AND PACKAGING CO., LTD which will invest US$1.6 million to establish a printing and packaging factory in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, Phnom Penh. 

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the ten new projects will create 8,685 jobs.
