CDC Greenlights Seven New Industrial Giants with US$24.3M Investment, Propelling Job Creation in Svay Rieng & Sihanoukville

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted approval to seven companies to embark on transformative ventures, collectively investing an impressive US$24.3 million. This strategic move is expected to usher in a wave of economic growth and 3,491 employment opportunities, benefitting the communities of Svay Rieng and Sihanoukville.

The CDC announcement, dated 21 September 2023, heralds a new era of industrial development in Cambodia. These seven dynamic companies represent a broad spectrum of sectors and have shown unwavering commitment to the nation’s prosperity.

WANGMAO (CAMBODIA) HOMEWARE CO., LTD. is set to invest US$6.2 million to establish a cutting-edge factory within the Hai-Park Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng province. This facility will manufacture an array of products, including lamps, home appliances, and bathroom furnishings.

JUSHI (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. is channelling US$5 million into building a state-of-the-art plastic and cable manufacturing plant, located in the Svay Rieng Gigarris Special Economic Zone.

STARBLAZE (CAMBODIA) PLASTIC & METAL CO., LTD. is gearing up to invest US$3.6 million in a facility that will produce plastic products, decorative materials, and electronic components made from plastic. This factory will also call the Svay Rieng Gigarris Special Economic Zone home.

CAMBODIAN LUHENG PET FOOD CO., LTD. is dedicating US$3 million to establish a top-tier feed and equipment manufacturing plant for livestock, to be situated within the Cambodian Special Economic Zone in Sihanoukville.

ULTIMATE MOTION CO., LTD. is embarking on a US$3 million investment journey to set up a sophisticated sofa and furniture manufacturing hub. This facility will be located in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville.

WANAN GAS CONTROL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. is investing US$3 million to construct a factory specialising in assembling and installing gas stove equipment, including regulators, valves, hoses, and more. This innovative endeavour will find its home in Svay Rieng Special Economic Zone, Gigaris.

HE DUI OPTOELECTRONICS CO., LTD. is allocating US$1.5 million to establish a forward-looking factory that will produce decorative lamps and cutting-edge LED lighting solutions. This facility is poised to revolutionise the lighting industry and will be based in the Svay Rieng Gigarris Special Economic Zone.

These visionary investments not only signify economic growth but also underline Cambodia’s attractiveness to international entrepreneurs. The CDC is fostering an environment of innovation, sustainability, and prosperity, cementing Cambodia’s role as a hub for industrial advancement.
