CDC Approves Three New Projects Worth US$15.2m in Svay Rieng, Kampong Speu & Phnom Penh

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light for three new investment projects in the country’s manufacturing sector, with a combined value of US$15.2 million. According to the CDC, the projects are set to create 3,365 jobs across Kampong Speu, Svay Rieng, and Phnom Penh. 

DUN TAI GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, plans to establish a garment factory in Kampong Speu with a $5.1 million investment.  

PRECLO (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, will invest the same amount to set up a garment factory in Phnom Penh.  

Meanwhile, Hong Wang Li (Cambodia) Co., Ltd will use its US$5 million investment to build a garment and packaging factory in the Shandong Sansel Special Economic Zone in Svay Rieng. 

With these new projects, Cambodia’s manufacturing industry continues to attract foreign investment, providing job opportunities for the local population and will help Cambodia’s economy recover from the pandemic’s impacts, diversify its economic base, and support its long-term growth and development plans.
